Michael Zuniga
Master Stylist/Owner

Michael is the owner of Shag Salon and a Master Stylist with a wealth of experience. Previously a Senior Stylist at Austin’s Jose Luis Salon, Michael continues his mission in mastering the art of hair. Having gone through extensive training, he has also participated in the 2011 Trend Vision competition, Alexandra Matiz’ editorial styling and advanced color class (Wella Studio NYC), Vaughn Accord’s V76 advanced men’s cut class (Oribe Studio NYC) and Oribe advanced styling class (Oribe Studio Miami.) He is certified in Sassoon cutting and Global Keratin Treatments and loves doing anything from precise men’s cuts to classic and avant-garde cuts and color.
Beau Clements

Beauty begins with Beau — a Fort Worth native specializing in stunning color and precision cuts. Since his start in 2003, his impressive career has included time as a Bumble and Bumble network educator, Hotheads extensions specialist and a certified Wella Master colorist with Jose Luis and Goldwell Master colorist with Shag. Beau is one of the owners of Shag Salon and a master stylist.
Kelly Gans
Master Stylist
She/her
30+ years in the business.
Specializes in redheads, fine thinning and short hair. She is truly passionate about meeting new clients and meeting their hair care needs, and making sure that it fits their lifestyle. She also makes sure you know how to care for your style post salon appointment. Hobbies are cooking, dancing, art, gardening and anything that is beautiful to behold.
Taylor Mast
Senior Stylist

Taylor is originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and moved to Austin to pursue a career in Cosmetology. She graduated from Avenue Five Institue in 2019, shortly after becoming the salon assistant learning tips and tricks from every stylist! Growing up, she was always doing her friends hair and makeup, whether it was for school dances, concerts, or even just to go out! In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and trying to recreate recipes she finds on Instagram. Taylor is open to any and all chisme.
Maddie Angle

Once upon a time, many years ago, there was a group of teenage girls gathered in a bathroom past their bedtime. Little did their parents know their little girls would come home with a whole new look thanks to some store-bought hair color.
Since then, Maddie has loved doing wild colors and wild cuts! She's been in the industry since 2021, from training to behind the chair. A well-rounded stylist thanks to multiple mentorships, and she's excited to take on any task given to her. Maddie listens to your needs and we will work together to make you feel like a better, more comfortable you.
In her free time, she loves to draw and play video games! Maddie would love nothing more than to nerd out with someone or listen to anything you’re passionate about! Making a friendly connection and long-term trust with her clients is her goal, and she can’t wait to meet more wonderful people.
Ashley Barton

Ashley is a born and raised Austinite who has been coloring her own hair since she was 18 (she would cut it herself too if she could). Using her hair as a form of expression and constantly being her own guinea pig, her friends started to notice and requested her to dye their hair too. Ashley has always wanted a career that would leave people feeling better about themselves, first studying psychology at Texas State University. She’s always expressed herself through art as well, so naturally, hair seemed like the perfect creative outlet and career! She’s most interested in alternative and creative cuts, color blocking, and anything vivid. If you’ve got that one cut you’ve thought about for years but have been too nervous to take the leap, Ashley will take that leap with you and give you your dream cut!
Ashley’s interests aside from hair include drawing and painting, video games, anime/manga, movies (especially horror), fashion, and hitting up the nearest yard sale or art market on weekends.
Aileen Garza

Aileen is a deep South-Texas raised hairstylist who completed a public school cosmetology program in 2015 after graduating highschool. Since the she has built relationships with diverse groups of people who all share the core value of living unapologetically. She takes pride in all her work, but creative color/ cuts, curly hair care, and scalp care, bring her the most joy.
Before returning to hairstyling she was a young professional in the non-profit world. She still volunteers her time to different causes and baking treats for annual fundraisers too. In her off time, you can find her enjoying Austin DIY music, sun bathing, tending to her plants, or running around with her Dalmatian. Anywhere she is, she is creating beauty in her community.
Lo Dunn

Lo is born and raised deep in the heart of Texas. With a love and reverence for quality and excellence he started his passion from a young age. Looking to help make people feel more confident he pursed the path of cosmetology. Continuing with this goal, Lo has taken over an administrative role here at Shag. When he isn't in the salon he enjoys the arts, painting, outdoors and adventures, and more. Raised on good food and determination Lo is here to make sure you experience at Shag is outstanding.

An Austin native, She is 3 yr old 7lb Maltipoo mix. Dolly is the heiress of Shag Salon worldwide Enterprises. Named after my god mother Dolly Parton, and Aunties Barbara Streisand and Naomi Judd.
She is in charge of happiness, quality control, client and staff retention, as well as Shag security. All while being a very well known influencer.
My hobbies include - hunting for squirrels, chasing bunnies, being chased by big dogs, and sleeping. I bark but it’s only to say hi!
